The poster series BRACCO is created by photographer, designer and DockAPet founder Lisa Furuland Kotsianis. It is a series of photographic compositions involving dogs, primarily Lisa’s own two rescue dogs, Bruno and Gray, in various costumes and poses.

10% of the proceeds from the sale of the posters goes towards supporting rescue initiatives and shelter work in Greece.

Lisa is the visionary and designer behind DockATot, Aristot and Lalande Living, all critically acclaimed global brands of textiles, objects, both decorative and utilitarian, and furniture, known for their award-winning design and high aesthetic appeal. Her studies in architecture, photography, and art history inform her eclectic style and passion for proportion, detail, and visual balance. Lisa is also passionate about storytelling and experimenting, with matter as well as subject, tonality and symbolism.

Lisa’s series Bracco may revolve around her dogs, but her choice of sets, costumes and props betray a fascination with art and its history and the deeper meaning visuals can convey. So, it is not really all about dogs. The dogs are representations of all of us; some pose proudly and with confidence, others express doubts or vulnerabilities. Lisa explores body language through the poses and attitudes of her subjects, which at times also include other members of the family, herself included. Lisa is intentional about conveying ideas and evoking emotions. ‘It’s all about being human. And hopefully humane.’

About Bruno and Gray Bruno and Gray are two street dogs turned family dogs in Greece, where Lisa resides. They were found abandoned and severely malnourished in Athens and Santorini respectively. Gray, a true mongrel, was rescued as a young pup, whilst the GSP (German Shorthaired Pointer) Bruno had spent more than 1.5 years in a shelter before he found his forever home with Lisa and her family.

Lisa with family are also supporting several shelters in Greece that care for hundreds of dogs. Lisa wants everyone to consider adopting before shopping. ‘There are simply too many beautiful furry souls out there looking for a forever home, for it to be justifiable to feed into the industry of dog breeding. We must first look after the four-legged individuals already amongst us - the abandoned, mistreated and malnourished ones; the ones who are lost, and deserve to be found.’
